House edges used: Stake Originals such as Dice, Limbo, Plinko, Mines, Crash and Wheel are published at 1%; blackjack with good play is around 0.5 to 0.6%; typical slots run 3 to 5% (a 96% RTP slot is a 4% edge). Rakeback assumes it is switched on for the whole climb.
Sportsbook wagers count three times toward VIP progress. $10,000 of casino play or $3,333 of sports turnover both reach Bronze. Stake's sportsbook margin on a typical two-way market is around 3 to 5%, so the expected cost of the sports route to Bronze is roughly $100 to $170, comparable to the Originals route and far cheaper than slots. If you bet sports anyway, that turnover is doing triple duty; if you don't, betting sports you have no view on just to climb is paying the margin for nothing.
Time is bets ÷ bets per hour. At $1 a bet and 600 bets an hour on Dice or Limbo, Bronze is about 17 hours of play and Gold about 167. At $5 spins and 500 spins an hour on slots, Bronze is 4 hours and Gold 40, but at ten times the expected cost. The VIP calculator takes your own bet size, speed and game and gives you hours, expected cost and rakeback for whichever level you are aiming at.
Reported level-up bonuses in 2026 run about $15 (Silver), $50 (Gold), $100 (Platinum I), $200 (Platinum II), $500 (Platinum III) and $800 (Platinum IV); Stake does not publish them and says they vary with recent activity.
